Report an IT security incident

Curtin IT Services takes IT security incidents seriously. IT security incidents may take many forms. These may include:

  • suspicious activity occurring with your IT device;
  • an unexpected loss or modification of data;
  • access of data by people who should not have access;
  • unexpected account login attempts; or
  • finding you are locked out of an IT system or account.

If you notice any of these activities, it is important to contact the Curtin IT Service Centre immediately. Where possible note as much detail as possible about the security incident including:

  • When did you first notice the incident occur?
  • Is the incident still occurring?
  • Is anyone else affected?
  • Are you able to continue work with another IT device or backup of data?

If the matter is of a confidential nature, please request to speak with an IT Security team member.
