Mobile Phones

Mobile phones are increasingly used by staff at Curtin for a variety of purposes.  The telecommunications office, through our arrangements with Optus, offers a range of mobile phone products and services.

What device can I have?

Service Desk supports the following devices:

  • Apple iPhone
  • Any device with a Windows Operating System

To request a new mobile phone or PDA device, please complete and submit this form.

To see a list of all currently available mobile phones, please see the current mobile phone list (Curtin staff login required - use your Staff Portal credentials).

To move your personal number to the Curtin Corporate Account, email and the relevant forms will be sent to you.

Bilmax Electronic Billing

The current Bilmax module used for desktop phones has a mobile module which enables both the user and the cost centre manager to review monthly charges and drill down on the details. This system will provide the user with an electronic record of voice and data traffic for their mobile phone each month. Individuals can then identify and pay for personal charges. The system will send an email to the user and the Bilmax Report Contact once a month. All of the usage information including charges will be available online.

Voice only mobile service = $15.45 per month 

Voice and Data enabled mobile service = $24.55 per month

Data only mobile service = $18.18 per month

Included - Standard National Voice and video calls, Mobiles and voice calls to fixed lines within Australia, Standard National SMS within Australia Standard National MMS (photo only) within Australia Voicemail retrieval and deposits within Australia 13/1300/1800 numbers.

Curtin Mobile to Curtin Mobile:
  • No charge for intrafleet mobile-mobile calls in Australia.

Mobile Phone Repairs

Please report Faulty mobile phones to the CITS Service Desk or Telephone Helpdesk on x9000 option 2.

  • Report a stolen phone
  • Cancel or suspend a service
