Computer Labs

Software on computer lab machines

Prior to the teaching period starting, we strongly suggest you check that the computer labs (you are planning to teach in) have the correct software installed. If you need certain software in a particular lab, please do the following:

  1. Log in to the IT Self Service Portal
  2. Make a Request: Click on "Software Requests"
  3. Software Requests: Click on "Software installation or removal on a Curtin device"
  4. Computer Name: Type in "Lab"
  5. Building: Type in the building of the computer lab(s) - for multiple locations, it may be easier to add this in the "Additional Details" field
  6. Room: Type in the room of the computer lab(s) - for multiple locations, it may be easier to add this in the "Additional Details" field
  7. PC or Mac: Choose "PC", "Mac" or "Both
  8. Software Name: Type in the name of the software. If there is more than one application you require installed/changed please include this in the "Additional Details" field.
  9. Software Version: Type in the version of the software. If there is more than one application you require installed/changed please include this in the "Additional Details" field.
  10. Note: If you require IT assistance, please tick "Require IT Assistance". If you have any further details, type them in to the "Additional Details" field, then click "Submit"

If you have requested any software be updated, installed or removed you will be contacted by a CITS representative prior to the next semester to test and confirm the application(s) is working correctly.

You can also request a list of all currently installed applications in a computer lab in the Additional Details field.

* Please be aware that a minimum of four weeks notice is required for Lab software installation or procurement requests. CITS need advanced notice to service your request.

No Food or Drink

Please respect the Computer Labs and equipment located therein by not eating or drinking in the labs. CITS ask that all staff lead by example by complying to this request.
