VPN Client Installation

  • Option 1: Automatic installation : Windows / Mac OS / Linux
  • Option 2: Manual installation : Windows / Mac OS / Linux

Option 1: Automatic installation : Windows / Mac OS/ Linux (32 bit and 64 bit)

From a computer at home visit https://sslvpn.curtin.edu.au and log in with your OASIS username and password. Once authenticated, software will be automatically installed with the correct operating system and client settings.

Note: if you require access to VPN from inside the Curtin network, please visit https://internalvpn.curtin.edu.au/

Instructions

Step 1. Open Internet Explorer

Step 2. Enter https://sslvpn.curtin.edu.au in the Address Bar

Step 3. Enter your OASIS credentials and click "Login"

Step 4. If a certificate is required for your computer, a Security Alert will appear. Click on "Yes" to install the certificate.

Step 5. The VPN software will now automatically download and install on your computer. Once installation is complete, the software will attempt to connect to VPN Client

Step 6. Once VPN connection is established, the final window will appear as above. Close this VPN Service window when complete.

Note: the VPN icon with a padlock in the system tray indicating a VPN connection is now active 

Step 7. To disconnect the VPN Client, click on the Cisco AnyConnect icon in system tray and click the Disconnect button

Step 8. Next time you wish to connect to the VPN Client, click on the Cisco AnyConnect icon in the toolbar and click Connect

Step 9. Enter your OASIS username and password and VPN connection will be established

Step 10. The Cisco AnyConnect icon with a padlock in the toolbar will indicate a VPN connection is active

Option 2: Manual installation : Windows / Mac OS / Linux

To manually install the VPN client click on a suitable download file from the following: 

Step 1. Save the client locally to your computer and install the Cisco Anyconnect client.

Step 2. Click on the Cisco AnyConnect icon in the toolbar and enter the VPN server name sslvpn.curtin.edu.au and click the Connect button

Step 3. Enter your OASIS username and password and VPN connection will be established

Step 4. The Cisco AnyConnect icon with a padlock in the toolbar will indicate a VPN connection is active.

Step 5. To disconnect the VPN Client, click on the Cisco AnyConnect icon in system tray and click the Disconnect button
