Commonly Used Software

Curtin has entered into a number of agreements with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) vendors to obtain maintenance coverage for ICT equipment and to license software for use by the University community.

Software available

A limited number of software vendors permit Curtin staff to install and use their software on workstations not owned by Curtin. Use of the software is subject to very specific limitations and must be authorised by the completion of the appropriate 'home-use' licence agreement, whilst also abiding by the conditions of use.

Site Licensed Software "At a Glance" [Portable Document Format - 138 KB] is a quick reference guide to Curtin’s common use site licensed software arrangements.

Please contact CITS Service Desk to obtain the software agreement forms.

Work-At-Home Software available

Some software for home-use is available for some Curtin staff.

    1. This will be available via Staff Portal at a later date. Meanwhile staff should log on to Staff OASIS for details about how to access Work-At-Home Software online.
    2. Once in Staff OASIS, click on the “My Development” tab
    3. Locate the “purchasing microsoft and adobe work at home (wah) software” channel, then follow the instructions on the screen.
If you can’t locate the channel, then you may not be eligible to participate in the program.

    • Do NOT share the Work-At-Home information with anyone.
    • Curtin Associates and contractors are not eligible to participate in the Work-At-Home Program.
